2019 company Auditions
ANNOUNCING OPEN AUDITIONS for Savannah Stage Company's 2019 Season. We are a professional theatre company looking to hire artists for our 2019 Company. All positions are paid. Sign up to request an audition slot below. We will email you back with a confirmed time.
Auditions will be held in 90 minute groups sessions based on bravery, imagination, team work, and movement. Actors will be asked to learn a movement piece and to perform a prepared monologue and 16-bars music. Please be prepared to stay for your entire time slot.

Savannah Stage Company, home of the 2017 and 2018 winners of BEST LOCAL THEATRE DIRECTOR, BEST LOCAL ACTOR, BEST LOCAL ACTRESS, BEST LOCAL VOCALIST, and BEST LOCAL THEATRE PRODUCTION by the readers of Connect Savannah, is seeking creative risk takers ready to jump head first into growing and developing their skills through action driven storytelling, imagination, and bravery. We are looking for theatre artists who are humble, hard-working, focused, and skilled. We wish to work with artists who are looking to ask more of themselves and more of their art form. Attitude and dedication to growth are valued above skill.
This multi-award-winning musical follows a scarred woman who embarks on a cross-country bus trip to be healed by a minister... discovering the true meaning of beauty along the way.
rehearsals: May 26th - July 11th [M,W,TH 7-10pm and SUN 1:30-5:30pm] performances: July 12-20th [THURS, FRI, SAT at 8pm, SUN at 3pm]

DISNEY'S BEAUTY AND THE BEAST music by Alan Menken, lyrics by Howard Ashman and Tim Rice, and book by Linda Woolverton. Adapted from Walt Disney Pictures' Academy Award-winning 1991 animated musical film of the same name
SSC's take on the classic story tells of Belle, a young woman in a provincial town, and the Beast, who is really a young prince trapped under the spell of an enchantress. If the Beast can learn to love and be loved, the curse will end and he will be transformed into his former self. But time is running out. If the Beast does not learn his lesson soon, he and his household will be doomed for all eternity.

We are also seeking Company Members to serve in our Education, Production, and Artistic departments.
HOW TO PREPARE
- Please prepare 2 contrasting monologues and 16-bars music
- Please wear professional attire that will allow you to move
- Please arrive 15 minutes early to fill out an audition form
WHAT TO BRING
- Clearly marked sheet music - All work and personal scheduling conflicts for 2019
- 1 copy of your headshot and resume [8x10]
